Genius for Enterprise is reached through a portal that acts as a shell around several separate applications. Knowing which application you are actually in saves a lot of confusion.
The portal is xprt.xenial.com. Two addresses that look like they should work do not: login.retail.genius.io returns a 404 and retail.genius.io does not resolve. They are single sign on endpoints only.
| Application | What it holds | Route |
|---|---|---|
| Portal | Companies, sites, users, integrators | #/xprt |
| Data Management | Products, modifiers, menus, kitchen configuration | #/xdm |
| Back Office | Operational back office (GBO) | Single sign on redirect |
| Staff | Staff records | #/xbof |
| Reports | Reporting | #/xrpt |
Data Management is not part of the portal page. It is a separate application embedded inside it, served from its own address. That is why it sometimes behaves as though it is a different product: it is one.
The platform uses session only cookies. Close the browser and the session is gone. That is expected behaviour, not a fault. Log in again.
The company list is a data grid. Clicking the row itself does nothing and clicking a cell only ticks its checkbox. Click the company name link in the first column.
Treat the portal as read only unless you have been asked to change one specific setting. These are live forms on production estates, and a save can reach every store in the company at once. Confirm the setting, the scope and how to reverse it before touching anything.
Portal detail verified hands on in a live dealer account, portal version 4.1.51, August 2026. Newly built article, pending review.
