Uber Eats & DoorDash + Genius Restaurant

Good News.

The days of manually entering DoorDash and Uber Eats orders at your POS are over. You can now have your own direct connection to to these delivery services through the Genius Restaurant integrated app.
Seamlessly send orders directly to the kitchen, cutting out manual entries. Once setup is complete orders will simply start flowing into your POS system.

Prerequisites:

You need an existing DoorDash and/or Uber Eats account account. If you do not have one yet, please set one up with them directly. No special setup is required. 

 

What to Expect Next:

DoorDash

The POS Specialists Team will send you an email confirming the integration was requested. 

You can not select a specific integration time. Once kicked off Doordash will enable the integration when their system processes our request.
  • Orders will show up on your POS in a new room called DoorDash. That’s how you know the integration is live.
  • Orders will also continue to show on the standalone DoorDash tablet. The table can be turned off anytime if desired.
  • Pictures of your new menu will need to be reattached in DoorDash.

Uber Eats

You will be notified when it is time to finalize your integration. In the Genius Portal you will need to navigate to "Integrations" and then select Uber Eats. There you will see Connect with Uber Eats. Select that option and follow the login prompts.

Orders will now start flowing into a new room called Uber Eats.

Managing your delivery integration:

  • In Genius Restaurant:

    • DO NOT CALL YOUR DELIVERY PROVIDER TO HELP WITH MENU CHANGES. If you do, your integration will be disconnected.

    • All pricing and menu changes must happen in Genius Restaurant.

    • Remember that your displayed Delivery price will be your Heartland Restaurant price plus the percent price increase selected earlier.

    • Pricing, 86 list and menu item changes are real time. 

    • Your percentage price increase, lead time and hours can all be edited anytime in Heartland Restaurants Web Portal → Location Setup → Online Ordering → Online Ordering Tab → Third Party Ordering.

  • In Doordash/Uber eats Only Functions:

    • If you want to close for specific days you will need to contact them directly to have them block those days out.

    • All refunds must be processed directly through them as usual.
