How To: Adjust surcharge amount
Your action is required to maintain legal compliance. Visa has recently announced changes to its Surcharge rules. The maximum amount for a credit card surcharge has been lowered from 4% to 3%. This means that your Heartland Restaurant will need to be adjusted to be in compliance with the new regulation.
How to adjust your surcharge
- Log in to your portal at hrpos.heartland.us
- Navigate to Account Menu > Adjustments > Select Surcharge
- Set your Default Amount (%) to a maximum of 3%.
- Navigate to Location Setup > Customer Receipt
- Adjust your % Credit Surcharge Amount to the same amount as you have set above.
- Publish.
All card payments done within your business will now have a compliant surcharge. Please let us know if you have any questions.
