Setting up LG Business connect and Genius Menu Board

Follow the steps below to properly connect and configure a new TV.

Step 1: Connect the TV to WiFi

1. Power on the TV.

2. Navigate to Settings.

3. Select Network.

4. Connect the TV to the appropriate business WiFi network.

5. Confirm the connection is successful before proceeding.

Step 2: Enter the Business Code in LG Connect

1. Open the LG Connect software on the TV.

2. When prompted, enter the business code: 388445

3. Confirm the device successfully registers.

Step 3: Name the Display Correctly

Each TV must follow the standard naming convention:

Format: display_XX

• Start numbering at 01

• Continue sequentially (02, 03, 04, etc.)

• Example:

  • display_01

  • display_02

  • display_03

Make sure names match the physical layout order in the space.

Step 4: Verify Firmware Version

1. In the LG portal go to each device's details.
   

2. Navigate to Control > Update
   

3. Confirm the firmware version is 3.75.20

If the TV has a lower firmware version, perform the update before continuing.

Step 5: Push the Xenial App

1. Go to EZ Settings > SI Server Settings

2. Enter the following URL exactly as written: http://builds-dmb.xenial.com/xdmb-lg3.1.1931.ipk

3. Confirm the app installs successfully.

Step 6: Load Genius Site Settings

1. Enter the five digit code from your Xenial Display setup into the TV. The name of the device will determine which it loads.
