Install the Enterprise POS app and provision a terminal

Install the Enterprise POS app and provision a terminal

Enterprise POS installs on Android, iOS and Windows, with a silent install path for large rollouts.

Steps in outline

  1. Confirm the terminal meets the published system requirements for its operating system.
  2. Install the app for the platform: Android, iOS or Windows.
  3. For rollouts, use the silent install. Windows has separate production only and all environments packages, and Android has its own silent path.
  4. Provision the terminal against the enterprise.
  5. Download data to the terminal so it has menus, pricing and configuration.

Replacing a terminal

Use the documented replace terminal procedure rather than provisioning a new device from scratch, so the replacement inherits the original terminal identity, drawer assignment and reporting continuity.

Removing a terminal

Remove the terminal properly when a device is retired, so it stops appearing in drawer lists and reporting.
