Loading a Handheld 2.5 for the first time

Deleting currently used devices

If these mobile 2.5s are replacements for older units you will first need to delete your older units from your system. If they are being added to your current system you will not need to do anything at all.
  1. In the portal go to location setup > authorized tablets
  2. Delete your old handhelds from the system to free up licenses.

Installing your new mobile 2.5s

  1. Power the device on by holding the button on the top left of the device.

  2. Select the "Settings" icon.


  3. Select "Network & Internet"
     

  4. Select "Internet"
     

  5. Select your POS wifi
     

  6. Enter your POS wifi password and then hit "connect"
     

  7. Check your time zone by going to settings > System > Date & Time. If correct leave alone if needed set to manual and select the correct time zone.

  8. Once connected to wifi exit to the desktop by hitting the circle at the bottom of the screen and select the POS icon.


  9. In the Genius portal you will be able to generate login codes for your devices under Location Setup > Authorized Tablets > Login Code
     

  10. Enter the login code to your new mobile 2.5
     

  11. Select "Permanent" if prompted.


  12. Name the device something unique. You can use Handheld 1, Front POS, etc.
     

  13. Login to the device using your staff PIN, select the hamburger menu from the top left and then settings.
     

  14.  Select "Printers" and then hit "Use" next to your print template. If you would like to print from the device select your default printer below.


  15. Disable CC receipts by going to the three lines in the top left > settings > general > toggle on ignore room cc receipts.
Your device is ready to use!

If you are replacing older devices remember to send the serial numbers of the devices that you need to return to support@posspecialists.com so that we can cancel them for you
