Item Stock Management is where a manager 86s an item or sets a countdown on a limited special, without leaving the POS.

Open it

On the Room screen, tap Options, then Settings, then Item Stock Management.

Find an item

1. Type part of the item description in the Search box.
2. Matching items appear as tiles on the screen. You can search repeatedly to build up several items at once.

Set the count

1. Type a new number directly in the item Count box, or use the + and – buttons.
2. Repeat for every item you need.
3. Tap Save.

Tap Clear All to empty the screen of tiles when you are done.

To 86 an item

Set its stock value to 0.

• The item shows in red on the Order screen.
• Servers cannot ring it.
• Guests cannot order it on the Online Order website either.

That last point is the reason to do it here rather than telling the servers verbally. A verbal 86 does not stop the online orders arriving.

Putting an item back

Return to the same screen, search the item and set a count above zero, or the count you actually have. Make this part of the open checklist at any site that 86s regularly, or yesterday zeros will still be in place today.
