Manually Update PAX S300 EMV Readers

Scenario #1: Before Business Started (no credit transactions in POS)

  1. Press FUNC(F) + 1
  2. 916860
  3. Down > System Settings
  4. Down > App Management
  5. 916860
  6. App Update
      

Scenario #2: After Business Started (credit transactions in POS)

Clear the database in the PAX S300 (must be done on every reader)

  1. FUNC(F) + 1
  2. Menu
  3. 916860
  4. Down > System Settings
  5. Down > Database
  6. 916860
  7. Clear database
  8. Are you sure?  > Yes
  9. All

    Process update (must be done on every reader)

    1. Press FUNC(F) + 1
    2. 916860
    3. Down > System Settings
    4. Down > App Management
    5. 916860
    6. App Update
     

    If device will still not take update due to database you must clear the offline database

    1. FUNC(F) + 1
    2. Menu
    3. 916860
    4. Down > System Settings
    5. Down > Database
    6. 916860
    7. Clear Offline
    8. Are you sure?  > Yes
