Enterprise modifiers are more structured than restaurant modifiers. Learning the vocabulary saves a lot of confusion at a customer site.

Modifier groups

The set of modifier options attached to a product.

Modifier builds

A saved combination of modifiers that can be applied to an item in one action.

• Default modifier build is what the item comes with unless changed.
• Quick Builds menu exposes the most used builds.
• All Builds menu exposes everything available.

Additional modification options

• Split modify applies a modifier to part of an item, the half and half case.
• Fractional modifier quantities handle light, extra and similar partial amounts.

Combo meals

• Add a combo meal to an order.
• Change the combo meal size.
• Convert an existing item into a combo meal, which is the upsell path at the till.

Variant builds

Variant builds handle products assembled from main variants and associated variant types, with individual mixes and custom mixes, and quantity adjustment on both the main variants and the associated types. This is what powers pizza style build screens.
