Bar and tab rooms show open tickets as tiles rather than a table layout. Use this when the guest is at the bar, on a tab, or ordering to go.

Steps

1. On the Room screen, tap the room button for the bar or tab room in the bottom panel.
2. Review the open ticket tiles. Each tile is colour coded by ticket status.
3. Tap the control to start a new ticket. The POS opens the Order screen.
4. Add items. See Add items to a ticket.
5. Tap Send to fire the items, or Checkout to take payment now.

How tab tickets are sorted

A manager sets the sort order for tab rooms in Manager Settings > General > Tab Room Ticket Sort. The options are newest first, oldest first, alphabetical by guest name, or alphabetical by credit or debit card name. Alphabetical by card name is the usual choice for a busy bar running preauthorised tabs.

If this does not work

If the room button is missing, the room may be excluded on this device. Check Manager Settings > General > Device Excluded Rooms.
