No Sale opens the cash drawer without ringing a transaction, for making change or dropping cash.

Steps

1. On the Room screen, tap Options in the top right corner.
2. Tap No Sale.

Requirements

The POS performs a No Sale only when both are true:

• The device is associated with a cash drawer. A drawer is driven through the default register printer, so the device needs a printer template with one set. See Set a printer template on a device.
• Your job type has the No Sale permission enabled in the Admin Portal.

Why it is worth restricting

Every No Sale is recorded against the staff member who performed it. Sites with cash shrinkage should review No Sale counts by person before assuming a POS fault. Leaving the permission on for every job type removes the one signal that would show the problem.
