Options for Transcribing Orders to Digital Dining
Option 1: Using POS Search View
Equipment Required: 1x iPad
POS View allows you to operate entirely off a single iPad. You would limit your view to only open tickets and one a ticket is transcribed close it to remove it from the display to simplify the flow of tickets. The view can be changed at any time to make adjustments.
Step by Step:
Tap the open ticket > Info > enter order into Digital Dining > Close
Set your view (one time):
Login to POS > tap Search > tap Status > tap Open
Option 2: Printed Prep Ticket
Equipment Required: 1x iPad & 1x Printer
A prep ticket from a printer would be the easiest to keep track of and you would have a physical piece of paper to place with the orders.
Option 3: KDS (Kitchen Display Screen)
Equipment Required: 2x iPads
KDS would work similarly to the kitchen slip and each order would be removed as it is transcribed. This option requires two iPads and there is no physical ticket to leave with the order.
