Order level actions, splits and segments

Order level actions, splits and segments

Everything you can do to an order as a whole, rather than to one item on it.

Order level actions

  • Cancel order.
  • Capture customer information.
  • Change order destination.
  • Order level comments, plus edit and delete.
  • Park order, save order and suspend order. Three different ways of setting an order aside. Learn which one the customer workflow expects.
  • Resume a saved or suspended order.
  • Void a saved or suspended order.
  • Waste order, for product made and not sold.
  • Refund order and refund a specific amount.
  • Reprint the last order receipt.
  • Resend the order to the kitchen.

Splitting

  • Split order.
  • Move items to new orders.
  • Move a quantity of items rather than the whole line.
  • Share items, and split order segments while in share items mode.

Order segments

Segments are the enterprise structure for one order paid several ways.

  • Add a segmented order, or add a segment to an existing order.
  • Split order segments from an order.
  • Share an order item across segments, evenly or unevenly, and remove a share.
  • Move items out of a segment, or delete a segment.
  • Segments carry their own states, which govern what can be done to them.
