How to program the IP address on a Heartland PAX - EMV Reader: 

  1. “Menu” (Func+1)
  2. Password 916860
  3. Scroll down to Communication
  4. Password 916860
  5. Scroll to LAN Parameters
  6. Option 1 (LAN Type) and choose Static
  7. Option 2 (IP Address) which will show the IP address. You should have to just erase the last 3 digits and put in the correct IP in 3 digit format. 

192.168.x.xx on a pax has to be entered as 192.168.00x.0xx. Once entered hit green button to save. 
Then press red button until back to the default screen.
