The Room screen is the home screen of the Genius POS. It shows one room at a time along with every open ticket in it.

Controls that are always present

• Messages. Opens the Messages panel listing anything sent to this device or staff member.
• Socket Server. Shows the current connection status between this POS and the socket server. Check this first when devices stop syncing with each other.
• Printer Queue. Opens a panel describing each printer status in detail. Check this when a kitchen ticket does not appear.
• Order Balancing. Appears when the location uses Online Ordering. Opens the Online Ordering panel with the Order Balancing switch.
• Options. Opens the Options menu: Settings (Manager Settings), Reports, Server Bank, Tip Out and No Sale.
• Tickets. Opens Ticket Search across every ticket regardless of status.
• Logout. Lower right. Returns to the PIN screen for the next staff member.

Switching rooms

Room buttons sit in the bottom panel. Tap one to switch. On login the POS always opens the first room in the Rooms list.

Two kinds of room

• Bar or tab rooms show tickets as tiles.
• Table service rooms show the room table layout, with occupied tables highlighted.
