Items sit on the ticket in blue until they are sent. Sending is what puts them in front of the kitchen.
Steps
- Check the ticket panel on the right. Anything in blue has not fired yet.
- Tap Send.
The POS routes every newly ordered item to its kitchen printers or kitchen display, and the item text turns black.
Related buttons on the ticket panel
- Print — prints the guest check on the receipt printer.
- Split — opens the Split Ticket screen. See Split a ticket.
- Checkout — opens the Payment screen. See Take a payment at checkout.
If items do not reach the kitchen
- Open Printer Queue from the Room screen and read the printer status.
- Check the Socket Server indicator on the Room screen.
- Confirm the device is using a printer template that covers this room and these display formats. See Set a printer template on a device.
- If a kitchen printer failed, the item should have gone to its backup printer, if one is set on the template.
