Setting up a Unifi Router remotely

This article will assist if you have accidentally factory reset your router. You can watch the video below or check the step by step instructions.

  1. Download the Unifi app on your mobile device
    1. Unifi on Apple store
    2. Unifi on Android store

  2. Setup an account on the Unifi platform

  3. In close proximity to the device start the setup in the app

  4. Set the SSID & password to anything that you like. Write these down in case you need them for the next step.


  5. Skip the speed test


  6. Wait for the device to update


  7. Select Remote Handoff

  8.  Proceed to connect to the device


  9. Hit Transfer



  10. Enter Support@posspecialists.com into the field and select tranfer
