Setting up a Unifi Router remotely

This article will assist if you have accidentally factory reset your router. You can watch the video below or check the step by step instructions.




1. Download the unifi app on your mobile device


2. In close proximity to your router please open the device. It will see the device and prompt you to set it up.



3. Set a password for the unifi wireless network. It can be anything but you need to remember it for this process. We will correct your settings later.



4. Create a unifi account. You must use an email you have access to. These credentials will only be important for the setup process.






6. The device will take a few moments to update and setup



7. When prompted join the new network



8. Hit Proceed



9. Hit Transfer



10. Enter Support@posspecialists.com and hit Transfer



11. Our staff will now finish the setup process.
