Sign on, clock in and manage PINs

Sign on, clock in and manage PINs

Clock procedures on Enterprise POS cover the terminal sign on, the labour clock and the drawer handoff, and they usually happen in one sequence at the start of a shift.

Start of shift

  1. Sign on to the terminal.
  2. Confirm the drawer assignment if the terminal prompts for one.
  3. Clock in.

During the shift

  • Start and end a break. Break records are separate from the clock in and clock out pair.
  • Change PIN. Staff can change their own PIN from the clock procedures screen.

End of shift

  1. Clock out.
  2. Sign out of the terminal.

Sign out is not clock out

Signing out of the terminal releases the till. Clocking out ends the labour record. They are separate actions and staff need to do both, in that order, or the labour report will not match the schedule.
