Inventory tracking is switched on per location and then managed per item.

Enable tracking

Enable Inventory Tracking for the location. That gives the location access to the inventory tracking features. Until it is on, item counts are not maintained.

Manage counts

Once tracking is enabled, set and adjust counts per item in the item library. Counts drive what staff see at the till and what the reorder reporting shows.

Item alerts

An item alert message is a note, request or requirement configured to appear as an alert indicating that an item or service must be checked before it is added to an order.

Good uses:

• Age restricted products.
• Items that need a serial number recorded.
• Items with a handling or assembly step.
• Special order items that must be confirmed with the customer.

Modifiers

Modifiers are additional options applied to specific goods or services. Modifier sets are organised collections of modifiers that can be assigned to items in the Merchant Portal. Build the sets once, then assign them to every item that needs them rather than repeating the options item by item.
