Transitioning a site from classic to nextgen

XC23 / GC26 setup

  1. Set static IPs on all devices
  2. Check time zone on each device
  3. Ensure all devices update to latest version
  4. Select print template
  5. Set for local printers (when appropriate)
  6. Test printing
  7. Test Mobi Reader
  8. Set unique ticket prefix

Remaining iPads

  1. Delete restaurant Classic
  2. Download Genius
  3. Set printer template
  4. Select default printer
  5. Set unique ticket prefix
  6. Name device in system settings and in app

Portal Adjustments

  1. Location Setup > Settings > Mobile/NextGen Settings
    1. Enable Mobile/NextGen 
  2. Location Setup > Settings > App Settings
    1. Enable Use Color Fill for items and ingredients
  3. Location setup > Authorized Tablet
    1. Set Dedicated Socket Server 
    2. Delete any removed ipads from authorized tablets
  4. Location Setup > Online Ordering > General
    1. Set OLO Device
  5. Location Setup > App Ordering
    1. Set App Ordering Device
  6. Location Setup > Payment Gateway > In Store Settings
    1. Set payment type to pay/app reader (so long as there are no pax readers otherwise leave as pax)
    2. Set gift type to Heartland Gift
    3. Ensure OLO payments are set to Heartland/Portico
  7. Location Setup > Printers
    1. Delete removed printers
  8. Location Setup > Payment Terminals
    1. Delete removed PAX devices
  9. Location Setup > Rooms
    1. Make sure all rooms are set to auto exit paid tickets
