Transitioning a site from classic to nextgen
XC23 setup
- Set static IPs on all devices
- Check time zone on each device
- Ensure all devices update to latest version
- Select print template
- Set for local printers (when appropriate)
- Test printing
- Test Mobi Reader
- Set unique ticket prefix
- Name device in system settings and in app
Remaining iPads
- Delete restaurant Classic
- Download Genius
- Set printer template
- Select default printer
- Set unique ticket prefix
- Name device in system settings and in app
Portal Adjustments
- Location Setup > Settings > Mobile/NextGen Settings
- Enable Mobile/NextGen
- Location Setup > Settings > App Settings
- Enable Use Color Fill for items and ingredients
- Location setup > Authorized Tablet
- Set Dedicated Socket Server
- Delete any removed ipads from authorized tablets
- Location Setup > Online Ordering > General
- Set OLO Device
- Location Setup > App Ordering
- Set App Ordering Device
- Location Setup > Payment Gateway > In Store Settings
- Set payment type to pay/app reader (so long as there are no pax readers otherwise leave as pax)
- Set gift type to Heartland Gift
- Ensure OLO payments are set to Heartland/Portico
- Location Setup > Display Formats
- UNCHECK Hide Separator Lines
- Location Setup > Printers
- Delete removed printers
- Location Setup > Payment Terminals
- Delete removed PAX devices
- Location Setup > Rooms
- Make sure all rooms are set to auto exit paid tickets
- If site has Como send request to hposdealersupport@heartland.us to enable Como on NextGen.
