Order Balancing spaces incoming online orders so the kitchen is not buried by a burst of them. It is switched from the POS, not the Admin Portal.

Steps

1. On the Room screen, tap the Order Balancing button. This button only appears when the location uses Online Ordering.
2. The Online Ordering panel opens, with the Order Balancing switch.
3. Turn it on or off.

When to use it

• Turn it on during a rush, on a game day, or whenever quoted times are slipping and the kitchen is calling out.
• Turn it off on a slow night when you would rather have the orders as they come.

Tell the site about it

This is one of the more useful switches on the POS and one of the least known. Show it to the manager at go live and again at the first review, because the day they need it is the day they will not have time to find it.
