Training mode lets new staff practise on a live terminal without touching real money or real data.

Steps

1. On the Room screen, tap Options, then Settings.
2. Tap General.
3. Under Device Options, turn on the Training Mode switch.

What changes

While the device is in training mode:

• No payments are processed.
• Orders are not synchronised with other devices.
• Nothing generated appears in the location live data.

Trainees can open tickets, ring items, split, discount and take a practice payment, and none of it reaches the books.

Turn it back off

Same three steps, switch off. Do this before service. A terminal left in training mode takes orders that never reach the kitchen and payments that never settle, and it will not be obvious to the server. Make checking it part of the open checklist on any device used for training.
