SMS Order Up Alerts
SMS Order up alerts allow you to notify your customer that their order is ready for pickup. They can be triggered automatically when an order is bumped from your kitchen screen or manually via the POS interface. SMS functionality must be added to your account to utilize this functionality.
Associating a phone number with a customer
You can either manually add a phone number to a client via their customer/info screen or if you use Como you can simply add their loyalty account. Once their number is associated they will be ready for SMS order up notifications.
Types of Order Up Alerts
Automatic Order Up Alerts
By selecting "SMS message" guest or "both" under your kitchen screen's display format you can send an order up alert every time you bump an order from your KDS.
Manual Order Up Alerts
You can also choose to send your alerts manually from the POS interface. By selecting the check and then the SMS icon and the pressing on "Send 'Order Ready' Text" you will send your customer their order up alert.
