How to Setup a Heartland Restaurant Mobile POS

Take Inventory:
  1. You need to have the following four pieces of hardware. They usually are shipped separately. 
    1. bbpos "Wisecube" EMV reader
    2. Heartland Mobile POS Case
    3. Apple iPad Mini
    4. Apple Charger and USB-c to USB-c cable

Assemble the Hardware:
  1. Open flap in case.
  2. Connect charging cable under flap to Wisecube.
  3. Place Wiscube under flap with lights facing down. You should see the four blue lights on the other side of the case.
  4. Close the flap.
  5. Place iPad Mini in case and connect it to the built in changing cable. Make sure the cable is all the way in the iPad. 
  6. Snap the rectangular bevel on. 
  7. Assembly is done. :-) 

Setup the Software:
  1. Setup the iPad:
    1. Update iOS
    2. Login to your iCloud account
    3. Download Heartland Restaurant app.

  2. Pair the Wisecube.
    1. Please see our Mobile POS pairing and troubleshooting guide.
  3. Test transaction with chip card, Tap a card, Apple/Android Pay.
Charge the Mobile POS for a few hours before use. Always make sure to use the supplied high powered charger. 


Daily Maintenance:
  1. Charging: Three batteries charge in sequence.
    1. Case battery
    2. Wisecube built in battery
    3. iPad battery
  2. Never take the top bevel off. It is plastic and can break. 
  3. To turn on the Wisecube simply plug the unit into power.
